Privacy Policy

At NanoKito, privacy isn't just a policy—it's our architecture. We believe your data belongs to you, which is why we process your files directly on your device.

Last Updated: December 16, 2025

At NanoKito ("we," "us," or "our"), accessible from https://nanokito.com, the privacy of our visitors is our absolute priority. This Privacy Policy outlines what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your digital footprint.

2. Client-Side Processing

We differentiate ourselves by prioritizing Local, Client-Side Processing.
  • Your Files: When you use our tools (such as Image Compressors, PDF Converters, etc.), your files are processed locally within your web browser using WebAssembly and JavaScript technologies.
  • No Uploads: Your photos, documents, and sensitive data are not uploaded to our servers, stored in our databases, or viewed by our team. They never leave your device.

3. Information Collection (Server Logs)

While we do not track individuals, our hosting providers (such as Vercel or Cloudflare) automatically collect standard server logs to maintain security and performance. These logs may include internet Protocol (IP) addresses (anonymized where possible), date and time stamps, and referring pages.

Purpose: This data is strictly used to prevent abuse (such as DDoS attacks) and ensure the site stays online. It is not linked to your personal identity.

4. Advertising & Sponsorships

We may display sponsorship banners or "Ethical Ads" on our website.
  • Static Content: Currently, these are simple image links. They do not track you and do not build a profile of your behavior.
  • No Retargeting: We do not currently use "retargeting" ads that follow you to other websites.

5. Analytics

We use privacy-focused analytics tools (such as Plausible or simple server counters) that do not track individual users via cookies. We only view aggregate data (e.g., "100 visitors today") to understand site performance and improve our tools.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We are a growing platform, and our business model may evolve. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time.
  • Introduction of Cookies: In the future, we may introduce third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense) or analytics tools that rely on cookies to support the maintenance of our free tools.
  • Notification: If we make material changes to how we handle data (e.g., introducing tracking cookies), we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide a prominent notice (such as a consent banner) on our website.
  • Your Acceptance: Your continued use of the Service after we post any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.
